ABOUT US

St Bartholomew’s is situated in Sealand, five miles from Chester on the Anglo Welsh border. We are ‘the church across the river’, having been originally built within the parish of Hawarden which lies to the north of the river Dee. We are now part of the Borderlands Mission area in the Diocese of St Asaph.

Having recently been reordered, it has become a warm and comfortable meeting space in which both spiritual and community support can be found. We offer a mixture of services – traditional, Celtic and Taizé, as well special services throughout the year. See here for services this month.

St Bartholomew’s is an active, living Church which is open to all, welcomes all and has its ministry rooted in serving the local community and the many visitors attracted to events and activities within the church.
