Funerals may take place in St Bartholomew’s followed by Burial or Cremation, normally in Chester or Hawarden. If you desire a service lasting more than twenty minutes (time restriction at most Crematoria) you should always ‘opt’ for a service in Church first, where there is no time restriction and this will enable hymns to be sung, poems to be read and a proper Eulogy/tribute given in a more relaxed and personal manner.

We see a Funeral Service as a ‘Thanksgiving’ for someone’s life and we endeavour to make it just that. The Funeral Director that you choose will liaise with the Vicar in the first instance, so that dates and timings can be agreed and then the Vicar will visit you to discuss the details of the Service.
